Thinking about becoming a consultant

I am thinking about to starting my own business. I have been looking for a job for awhile and in an effort get myself out there and network, I have been volunteering. I started volunteering with the hopes of finding a job by show people/employers what I can do. Only problem is that after six months no one is offering me a job. I am starting to feel like people are not impressed with my work. But other organization/ individual want me to do more work for free. I don’t want to share or give away my talents anymore. I want to get paid!

So, I thought I would start my on consultancy. Now people have the option to hire to do work for them or not. But I am no longer do things for free. This Latina is charging for her knowledge and experience in the Latino community!

Here is my idea, tell me what you think. Still need a name and fill in the details. But with the help of my friend Stacy this is the beginning of my own thing.
